Ryan Devin
Prior Work Experience
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak. As a kid, I started a small lawn mowing business that eventually grew to service properties all over the city — with accounts in nearly every Buffalo zip code. Looking back, that’s really when I fell in love with Buffalo and got to know every corner of it.
After that, I worked in sales at Uncle Bob’s Self Storage (now Life Storage), and later at an appraisal management company here in Buffalo. That’s where my interest in real estate really took off. I became a licensed Realtor in 2017 and have been in the industry ever since.
How I Got Into Real Estate
Real estate has always been in my blood. My late mom was a Realtor in Buffalo, and my dad owned several rental properties, mostly in South Buffalo. Growing up, I spent many weekends tagging along with him on maintenance calls and small projects. I’m not sure how many 10-year-olds enjoyed spending Saturday mornings fixing things at rentals… but I did. That’s when I truly caught the real estate bug.
What Drives Me
Honestly, it’s the moment you hand over the keys. Whether it’s a family moving into a home we renovated or a tenant getting settled into a refreshed space, that feeling never gets old. Seeing someone excited about a place you helped create or improve is the best part of the job.
My Real Estate Goals
I want to continue investing in and improving the city of Buffalo — renovating properties, preserving the character that makes our neighborhoods special, and creating solid homes people are proud to call their own. If we can make the city a little better one property at a time, I’m happy.
A Little About Me
Outside of real estate, I’m a family guy first. I have two young boys at home, so most of my free time is spent with them and my wife. Whether we’re hanging out in the backyard, running around town, or just relaxing together — that’s really what it’s all about for me.

Anthony Martello
Prior Work Experience
I’ve had a strong desire to be self-employed since childhood. In sixth grade, when most of my classmates said they wanted to be movie stars or professional athletes, I wrote down “business owner.” I’m not even sure I fully understood what that meant at the time, but something inside me knew that was the path I wanted.
I’m the elder statesman of our group, and my entrepreneurial journey began in 2005 when a business partner and I opened a medical supply company. We ran the company for more than 17 years before selling it in late 2022. During that entire time, we never lost a single customer to a competitor — something we were incredibly proud of. Our formula was simple: customer service, honesty, transparency, and good old-fashioned hard work. Those are the same principles I bring with me into real estate today.
How I Got Into Real Estate
After selling the medical supply business, I knew I needed to reinvent myself. I quickly realized I’m not very good at sitting still. The thought of staying home without a new challenge didn’t sit well with me, so I began brainstorming ideas.
One day, I noticed an open house sign for a duplex not far from my home. Curiosity led me inside, and as soon as I left, I called real estate agent Sean Mattrey — who is now my business partner. The open house was packed, and I knew I had to act quickly if I wanted it. I purchased the property, and that experience sparked something in me. I still own that duplex today, and it has fantastic tenants. That purchase was the start of my real estate journey.
What Drives Me
In everything I do, I strive to do it better than the next person. That competitive drive pushes me to constantly improve and add value wherever possible. Whether it’s upgrading amenities, improving systems, or simply treating tenants with respect and delivering exceptional service, I believe the small details make a big difference.
I’ve learned that well-designed systems benefit everyone — the business, the team, and most importantly, the customer. In real estate, that means creating a smooth, positive experience for both homeowners and tenants.
My Real Estate Goals
My goal is to bring as many properties back to life as possible. Sometimes homes fall into disrepair for various reasons, and being able to restore them — often making them even better than before — is incredibly rewarding. Watching the positive impact that has on a street, a neighborhood, and Western New York as a whole is something I truly enjoy.
A Little About Me
When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. My wife, Alicia, and I have a young daughter, Amelia, and a “fur daughter,” our French Bulldog, Aria.
I’m also a self-proclaimed history nerd. Many of our family adventures revolve around visiting historical sites, especially throughout the American West. We’ve explored Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, and my personal favorite, South Dakota. If you’ve never seen the Black Hills of South Dakota, I highly recommend it.

Joe Plevniak
Prior Work Experience
I established myself as an entrepreneur at a young age by selling candy out of my Trapper Keeper at school. I would buy candy in bulk and sell it at retail price to classmates and even teachers — and I was immediately hooked.
As a young adult, I worked various odd jobs but quickly realized working for someone else wasn’t for me. I wanted to build something of my own. In 2014, I bought and renovated my first house using money I had worked hard to save. I turned it into a rental property and eventually sold it to fund my next project. That experience marked the true beginning of my real estate career.
How I Got Into Real Estate
My dad was the driving force behind my launch into real estate. Growing up, I watched him build a successful construction company from the ground up. From him, I learned the value of hard work and what it takes to build a solid business.
After years in construction, my dad transitioned into a role as a Buffalo Building Inspector. Listening to his stories about local investors sparked my interest even further. I eventually convinced him to combine his knowledge and experience with my drive and ambition, and we partnered on my first property together.
What Drives Me
There’s something incredibly empowering about owning real estate. I genuinely love that feeling — and I want others to experience it too. Helping people achieve that sense of ownership and accomplishment is what motivates me every day.

Honesty has always been at the core of how I do business, and that won’t change. I want clients to feel comfortable, confident, and informed when working with me. Staying genuine, transparent, and focused on helping people reach their goals — no matter their situation — is one of my top priorities.
A Little About Me
I’m an avid cyclist and love riding my bike all around the city of Buffalo. I participate in the Ride for Roswell every year and am a proud father of two boys. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, golfing whenever I can, and traveling. My favorite place I’ve visited so far is Costa Rica.
